Several months ago while working as wing laundry manager in custody, Luke stepped in to prevent a police officer coming to harm on his wing. The officer was going about her duties as part of an IOM team when she became the victim of some verbal abuse that could easily have escalated had Luke not intervened.
A colleague of the female police officer John, heard about Luke’s actions and went to thank him. John is also a volunteer for Tempus Novo and he asked about Luke’s situation on release from prison and what his plans were? Luke said he would be looking for work and there the journey began.
Three weeks after his release on 26/10/15 we secured Luke an interview at KTSwire and I’m delighted to announce he starts in full time paid employment with them on the 30th of this month. His response to the great news was to tell us how excited he is that he can go home and tell his family that he will have a wage coming in before Christmas, and how he wants to continue paying the life insurance his mother ( who is terminally ill ) has had for 18 years but is now struggling to pay.
