Tempusnovo Takes “Aim for Change” at Prestigious Yorkshire Charity Clay Day
DUNCOMBE PARK, YORKSHIRE
Tempus Novo, a charity dedicated to supporting ex-offenders into employment and breaking the cycle of reoffending, proudly took part in this year’s Yorkshire Charity Clay Day held at the picturesque Duncombe Park on May 11th, 12th, and 13th.
This highly anticipated annual event is one of Yorkshire’s largest and most exclusive charity fundraisers, supporting only seven carefully selected local charities. Entry into this elite group is no small feat; each charity must present their case in a rigorous “Dragon’s Den” style pitch to a distinguished panel comprising Lady Duncombe, Chris Blundell (Chairman of the YCCD), Shirley McConville (Mr. Blundell’s secretary and PA), and another notable figure from Yorkshire’s business community.
Now proudly among the chosen few, Tempus Novo joined a select circle of causes benefitting from this incredible initiative aimed at supporting those most in need across the region.
The Yorkshire Charity Clay Day combines the thrill of clay pigeon shooting with generous fundraising efforts. Teams of supporters from across Yorkshire's business and civic communities compete in the shooting event, followed by a celebratory lunch, drinks, and a range of charity auctions and raffles. The atmosphere is lively and generous, united by a shared goal: making a difference.
Over the years, the event has raised substantial funds for vital causes, including Leeds Children's Hospital and charities focused on cystic fibrosis care. Now, with Tempus Novo on board, the reach and impact of the event continue to grow.
Tempus Novo CEO Steve Freer expressed gratitude at being selected:
“We’re honoured to have been chosen for the Yorkshire Charity Clay Day. It's a tremendous opportunity not just for funding, but for raising awareness about the work we do to help people transform their lives. The event brings together generosity, community spirit, and a love for Yorkshire it’s something truly special.”
With another successful year wrapped up at Duncombe Park, the Yorkshire Charity Clay Day once again proves itself not just as a day of sport and socialising, but as a powerful force for good across the county
