Tempus Novo proudly receives prestigious Robin Corbett Award 2018

Steve and Val were presented with the “Highly Commended” 2nd prize trophy and £3000 by Lady Corbett at the House of Lords recently.

This national recognition is real testament not only to the Tempus Novo team, their partners and funders, but also to our committed service users.

About the award

Robin Corbett was a British Labour Party politician, both a Baron and a Lord, who fought for justice, democracy, freedom and human rights throughout his parliamentary career. Lord Corbett thought prison shouldn’t be about society’s revenge but rather a chance to change the direction of a life. After he died in 2012 this commitment to rehabilitation and education for offenders evolved into the Robin Corbett Award. The Prison Reform Trust, a registered charity with which Robin had closely worked agreed to administer the Award.

The Robin Corbett Awards have since become the ultimate recognition for outstanding work in rehabilitation and education for offenders in the UK.

Steve said: “This is a proud day indeed for all at Tempus Novo and it will further motivate us in our work to rehabilitate through sustainable employment. We now work with 40 local employers who are fast recognising the benefits to their bottom line of working with marginalised people, recruited through Tempus Novo.”
