Leeds Families Marching on Together
Following on from Tempus Novo’s recent success in winning the Criminal Justice Award, we thought it only right to celebrate the hard work of our Graduates.
After all, without their willingness to change and take action, our hard work would be fruitless.
The Ziff family are a keen supporter of Tempus Novo, taking on one of our graduates, Tyson, as a kitchen porter at their prestigious Leeds city centre restaurant, Arnolds. Named after Arnold Ziff, the down-to-earth Leeds businessman and philanthropist once nominated as “the greatest living Yorkshireman”.
Starting by selling shoes and finding shops to sell them in, Arnold Ziff built a small provincial family business into a national player and used his wealth to benefit his native city, Leeds. He funded and sponsored medical, sporting, cultural and leisure facilities, including Yorkshire Cricket School, the Tropical World Gardens in Roundhay Park, the historic Leeds Parish Church and a Steinway grand piano for Leeds University’s concert hall.
We approached Daisy and her father Edward Ziff to see if they could help us out with a venue for a celebration and they were more than happy to help and offered us Arnolds with our own dedicated section of the restaurant! Perfect!
The evening was full of laughter and life changing stories. Everyone just clicked, all having the same positive vibes of gratitude, hope and unsurprisingly inspiration. Leeds United were mentioned more than once, but with a quiet confidence and fingers crossed… lets not tempt fate!
Everyone at Tempus Novo are grateful to the Ziff family, especially Daisy and her father Edward for their generosity. A truly humble and hard working family who are proud of their roots.
Thanks again to our amazing Graduates – the true TN Ambassadors!
